XXIIIrd Congress in Poznan postponed to 2021

In the face of the pandemic spread of Covid-19, after evaluating all the sanitary, organizational and economic implications, as well as the forecasts on the progress of the disease, the ICHS Board together with the Organizing Committee in Poznan came to the belief that it is not reasonable to hold the Congress on the scheduled date. Consequently, we announce the postponement of the Congress to 22-28 August 2021.
We sincerely regret any inconvenience and hope to meet with all of you in Poznan next year.

The XXIIIrd Congress – Poznan

poznan-villeThe General assembly of the International Committee for Historical Sciences – August 29th 2015 – voted for the city where the XXIIId Congress will take place. The application of Poznan, Poland, was chosen. The agenda will be determined during the next board meeting, in June 2016.

Our XXIInd Congress – Jinan 2015

The congress of the International Committee of historical Sciences was held in Jinan (Shandong University). For the first time the congress has been organized in Asia. The number of registered participants reached approximately 2 600, from 88 countries view it now. Never before had so many junior researchers attended the congress, many with financial help from ICHS, Shandong University and PVWF, a Dutch Foundation. For the first time also, the international Prize for History was delivered.
