The ICHS begins to develop partnerships with various international institutions.

UNESCO: A mixed ICHS / UNESCO committee was set up in 1997 in Warsaw. Since, the UNESCO contributes to meetings in the exchanges and in historians' participation in the activities and in the Congresses of the CISH.
